When Brittany first emailed me about booking an engagement session on Valentine’s day, I was a little nervous. Not that I don’t enjoy hanging out with couples in love, but couples so in love they spend their Valentines Day making other couples look bad might make me roll my eyes a few times. Luckily, Ben and Brittany are not one of those couples. In fact, Ben and Brittany are the best kind of couple: they’re hilarious, comfortable with each other, tease each other to no end, and are truly each other’s best friends. They love each other but know that there’s no need to be perfect or to be lovey-dovey all the time. Maybe it’s just me, but that’s the kind of couple I like to hang out with on Valentine’s Day.
Ben, when not serving his country in the military, is a firefighter for Columbus, so Station 67 was a perfect location for an engagement shoot on 12 degree February day! We hung out, quoted our favorite tv shows, made a few Zoolander references, and played with the lights and sirens of the strangest podium/firetruck grill I’ve ever seen. All in all, it was a great afternoon and I’m so glad I got to spend it with these two!
Ben and Brittany, thanks so much for spending your Valentine’s Day with me! I loved getting to know you guys and am so excited for you! Your wedding is going to be AH-MAZING!!
Keep smiling!
Kaylina
