The forecast called for rain but there was absolutely nothing that could dampen the spirits of Mark and Erica on their wedding day last Saturday. The chemistry they share is nothing short of beautiful. They are best friends, each other’s support, and compliment each other in the most perfect way. And when you share a love like that, it doesn’t matter if the sun is shining or there are rain clouds outside.
Erica and her girls spent the morning getting their hair and make-up done at a friend’s salon in Columbus before heading to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Grove City.
Erica, who is already a gorgeous woman, transformed into an absolute vision in her wedding dress.
After sharing a quick first look with her dad, it was time to walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams.
Since it was raining after the ceremony we didn’t have a chance to head outside for portraits of just the bride and groom, but Mark and Erica still stole a few minutes of alone time in the church before heading to the reception in Westerville.
Mark and Erica’s first dance was so much fun to watch. They are so sweet together and I love seeing the way Erica just glows when Mark wraps his arms around her.
After the father-daughter and mother-son dances, the rain parted long enough for me to steal Mark and Erica for a few minutes for a quick sunset session. I absolutely love the images we were able to get – I think they capture their playful personalities and love perfectly.
Back inside the party was still in full effect and the fun events were on their way…
This might be my favorite image of the night, not because of a beautiful background or perfect composition, but because of the moment it captures. Towards the end of the night, as the reception was coming to a close, Mark and Erica were still holding each other close. While everyone else was dancing around them, Mark and Erica were immersed in their own world – seeing only each other.
Mark and Erica –
Thank you so, so much for sharing your special day with Blake and I! Being a witness to the love you two share was so invigorating and I hope that I was able to capture just a sliver of what you mean to each other in these images. I wish you the best in your marriage and cannot wait to see what the future hold for you!
Keep smiling!
Kaylina
