When I arrived at Jorgensen Farms on Saturday afternoon Katherine was in full hair and make-up running around placing the finishing touches on her wedding day. That’s the amazing thing about Katherine – she’s gorgeous, effortless, kind, and has that generous, giving heart that all great nurses possess. All of those qualities plus her amazing sense of humor make Josh one lucky man to call her his wife. And just as Josh is lucky to have Katherine, you can tell that Katherine feels the same about Josh. He’s tall, handsome, incredibly caring, and has a great laugh that brings smiles to everyones’ faces. These two are a one of a kind, once in a lifetime love.
Josh and Katherine’s wedding day last Saturday was on one of the most amazing days we’ve seen all fall. Warm and sunny with a light breeze, the trees around Jorgensen Farm just starting to change color. The girls and guys got ready in separate houses on the property but had time for group pictures before the festivities of the day began.
The ceremony was held outside under this amazing, old tree towards the back of Jorgensen Farms. The sun setting behind Katherine and Josh made for an absolutely stunning backdrop as their family and friends gathered around to celebrate their marriage.
Josh’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride walking across the field toward him was priceless.
After the ceremony while the guests headed off to cocktail hour, we finished group pictures and Josh and Katherine hung behind for us to take some quick pictures in the gorgeous, golden hour sun.
Finally it was party time and the large barn at Jorgensen Farms was the perfect backdrop for Josh and Katherine to share their first dance as husband and wife.
Soon, dinner was served and drinks were flowing. It always makes me so happy to be a part of a wedding where you can just feel the joy in the air and Katherine and Josh’s wedding was the perfect example of that.
