Nick + Britt: Fall Engagement Pictures at Dawes Arboretum | Newark, Ohio

FILED IN: engagements

I always love it when couples bring their dogs to their engagement sessions. Meeting the furry family members is such a fun part of my job, but I’ll be completely honest – I’ve never met a fur baby quite like Jorah. Nick and Britt’s sunny fall engagement session at Dawes Arboretum in Newark, Ohio in October was so much fun. Exploring the grounds with these two while the sun set was absolutely wonderful, but what made the night perfect was Jorah. Every person we passed wanted to pet him (and he happily obliged). He bounded a little clumsily through the woods and tall grass, always returning when called with that adorably large tongue hanging out of his mouth. I’m sorry, but I’m just a little obsessed with these three.

Britt and Nick, in addition to being the best dog mom & dad you could find, are kind of the best people ever. They’re so sweet and easy going. These two are high school sweet hearts who have been (and will be) together forever. Like seriously, if a warm chocolate chip cookie could be a couple – it would be them. Just warm, fuzzy feelings all around. Did I mention I was just a little obsessed?

We started their engagement session on a warm Saturday night in October at Dawes Arboretum. We explored the woods first as Jorah behaved perfectly. Doggy model status on point.

As the sun began to get the most amazing golden glow, Britt and Nick changed into their second outfits and we headed towards the Japanese Gardens.

Towards the end of the session I noticed some tall grass behind a row of trees and I knew I had to get Nick and Britt in the middle of it. Thankfully they were amazing and agreed to my crazy idea, because these are some of my favorite pictures of the night.

Keep smiling!
