Jack and Emily met as teenagers, sharing their first date at the Pennsylvania farm show 11 years ago. It’s easy to still see those high school sweethearts in Jack and Emily, since they are now madly-in-love-newlyweds. Eleven years may have passed, but Jack and Emily are still best friends who want to spend every minute together and who look at each other as if there was no one else in the world.
Jack and Emily’s big day on Saturday was a flurry of energy from the moment Emily made her entrance to the Grange Insurance Audubon center, already dressed and looking gorgeous. While friends and family spread out throughout the center to place decorations, Emily and Jack shared their first look on the shaded deck behind the center.
After the first look and some group photos of the bridal party, Jack and Emily joined their guests at a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. I loved the way they adjusted their wedding day timeline to give them time to visit with their friends and family before the ceremony.
The ceremony started outside with gorgeous blue skies, but as Jack and Emily started to exchange vows, rain started and Emily made the quick decision to more everyone inside to finish the ceremony. While they finished their vows inside, I know without a doubt that every guest would have sat through a downpour for Jack and Emily. They’re so loved.
After the ceremony, dinner was served before toasts and Jack & Emily’s first dance kicked off the festivities. Jack and Emily are blessed with amazing friends and family who love to dance – the dance floor was packed all night long and they definitely win the award for best playlist of the year. My junior high heart was LOVING the mix of early 2000s music and wedding classics.
Jack and Emily – I cannot thank you enough for letting me photograph your big day. You two are the sweetest, most adorable couple and I am so happy that you are officially husband and wife! I hope that your wedding day was everything you imagined and more. I cannot wait to see what the next chapter of your lives has in store.
Keep smiling!
Kaylina
