There’s something to the phrase “when you know, you know” and with Cory and Amanda not only does it apply to them – having officially dated a little less than a year to the date of their wedding – it also applies to anyone who sees them together. They are consumed with love for each other. They are each other’s everything – their rocks, their support, their best friends, and their soul mates. And just wait until you see the way that Cory looks at his bride… when you know, you know.
We started out the day at the Candlewood Suites in Grove City, Ohio where Amanda and her nine bridesmaids were a flurry of activity, good music, and nervous energy.
Meanwhile, the guys were in a hurry to get ready so they could take full advantage of the hotel’s close proximity to a mini-golf course.
Amanda and Cory exchanged notes on the morning of their wedding, but Amanda, being amazing like always, took her task to write a letter a step further. She’s been writing a journal to her future husband since she was little and gave it to Cory to read at the hotel.
Amanda and Cory are so in sync that, even with no communication between the rooms, they both ended their prep time in the same way: toasts and prayers. I absolutely love capturing these intimate moments as the most important people in a bride and groom’s life huddle around them to pray for their marriage and continued strength and happiness in the future.
Cory and Amanda chose to do their First Look and bridal party pictures at a nearby historical park. And this first look is my favorite moment of the whole day…
As soon as they saw each other they could not be separated. I didn’t even need to pose them.
Lets take a moment to talk about this bridal party. This group of people are the most down to earth, fun loving, and kind people you will ever meet. Being surrounded by them for just a day made me realize just how blessed Cory and Amanda are to have them all in their lives.
After an hour outside, everyone was ready to head to the venue to get the show on the road! Venue 62 is a relatively new location in the heart of Grove City on State Route 62. A smaller venue, holding a max of 99 people, it was the perfect backdrop for Cory and Amanda’s intimate wedding.
For anyone who says they don’t want to do a first look because it will ruin the moment the bride and groom see each other at the end of the aisle – I present to you Cory and Amanda. Their reactions here might have been even better than the first look. (Side note – I literally cried when I went through these pictures the morning after the wedding).
After the ceremony it was party time! Amanda’s sister, who happens to be one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, also happens to be an extremely talented baker and is responsible for all of the goodies on the dessert table. I was most impressed with these adorable mini apple pies made in mason jar lids. Genius!
Cory and Amanda – If you can’t tell, I’m mildly obsessed with your wedding. From the moment we arrived you made us feel at home and like part of the family. We cannot thank you enough for trusting us with such an important day and I hope we were able to capture just a portion of the love you felt for each other on your wedding day. Your relationship with each other, your friends and family, and the Lord is inspiring and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two!
Keep smiling!
Kaylina
