Let’s talk about love for a second. I know that everyone has their own definitions of it and shows their love in different ways, but there’s one thing that anyone who meets Chris and Micah can agree on: they are in love.
Last Christmas Micah flew out to Texas to visit Chris, where he’s currently a high school percussion teacher, and found herself in front of a giant, decorated Christmas tree and Chris down on one knee in front of her. She said “yes” and Chris got the best Christmas present in the world: a future with the woman of his dreams.
We met for their engagement session at Goodale Park in The Short North on Wednesday night, the only night last week that didn’t end up raining. Luck was on our side.
Chris and Micah both looked amazing and after taking some shots in the park and a change of clothes, we headed out towards High Street to take advantage of the street art and beautiful buildings the Short North are known for.
While Chris and Micah made one last outfit change I snapped some pictures of Micah’s gorgeous ring. I absolutely love hers – so classic and elegant.
Speaking of classic and elegant, I could not get enough of Micah and Chris’s last outfit! I adore it when couples get dressed up for their engagement sessions and judging by the amount of compliments these two were getting from strangers on the street, I wasn’t the only one!
Seriously, these two are too amazing together! By the end of the session I had Micah channeling her inner sass so there was a lot of hands on hips action, but she just looked too good doing it!
We ended the night with my favorite picture of the day. As those iconic Short North arches flickered to life, Micah and Chris made my heart melt with this image.
Chris and Micah – thank you so much for being the amazing people you are! It was so much fun running around with you Wednesday night and getting to know you and capture your love on camera! You two are simply the best and I’m so glad you were willing to try all of my crazy ideas! I’m officially counting down to your wedding next June – I can’t wait!
