“But for Ohio State…”
It’s The Ohio State University campaign to raise awareness of the university’s ability to change lives. You might have heard the ads on the radio or seen a commercial on tv during the last college game you watched, but they always seem to center on life saving technology and treatments dreamt up at OSU’s famous medical center. It never really focuses on the small, every-day occurrences that seem small at first, but end up changing your life.
Like when a girl from the third floor of a dormitory she was randomly assigned to meets a boy from the second floor. Or when that chance meeting turns into a friendship in the quad where they go to escape their roommates and spend hours on end talking. And eventually they return to that same dorm for the boy to ask a question that changes both of their lives forever.
But for Ohio State… Adam and Nicole would not have met, fell in love, and created their beautiful family.
Renovations on OSU’s north campus means that soon Haverfield House, the building that played such a pivotal part in their lives, will be torn down. So Nicole reached out to me about doing a quick family shoot around the building before it was gone forever.
It was a little warm and very sunny, but Adam, Nicole, and they boys were troopers and we had such a fun time exploring the nearby area. Well, I had fun – we lost the boys’ attention about half way through, but those are always my favorite pictures.
This might have been where we lost them for a second…
When a blister on your heel causes mommy to carry you, you make the best of it…
At the last location the boys had officially called it quits so we challenged them to a funny face-off. That, to be clear, is a competition; it is not a comedic take on Blake’s favorite Nic Cage/John Travolta movie.
Keep smiling!
