This past weekend I had the pleasure of participating in an event called “Snap and Gather”. Snap and Gather is the brainchild of the amazing Susie Marie Photography and Elizabeth Conley Studios, two lovely ladies who wanted to create a way for local photographers to get together, share a meal, inspire one another, and take beautiful pictures in the process!
We all met up at Everal Barn & Homestead in Westerville, Ohio to photograph the beautiful tablescape made possible by State and Arrow Design Co. and even received a mini-lesson in calligraphy by the amazing Inkwell & Co. – I would show you pictures of that, but not even the best teacher in the world could make my chicken scratch look beautiful so I’ll just show off her work instead =)
What these pictures couldn’t capture is the amazing feeling I left with that afternoon. Spending the day with 15 other boss ladies all eager to share their dreams and encourage each other is so refreshing. It is so easy to get caught up in the idea that life is a race or that working in the same industry means that competition in the only way to succeed, but that’s not true. By raising each other up, we raise the industry and we all flourish. And nothing would make me happier than seeing these ladies flourish.
