Blake and I took a week’s trip to Italy in October and it was amazing. Between the busyness that is being a photographer in the fall and then the holidays, it’s taken me a while to find time to sort through the thousand pictures I took and share them here on the blog. Don’t worry, I’m not actually sharing all 1000, but if anyone wants a private slideshow with commentary, you know where to find me. 😉

Every year I pull one image from my shoots throughout the year. This year, I cheated a little bit and used Instagram’s insights to show me which of the photos from each shoot were the favorites of my followers.

With the year coming to a close though, I thought it was time to give one more final thank you to all of the amazing clients I’ve had the pleasure to work with in 2016.

At the beginning of July Blake and I took a week off from our crazy schedules and wedding photography to drive out and visit my brother and his partner in Baltimore, Maryland.

Blake and I had a wonderful 5 days in balmy 75 degree weather hanging out with the family and exploring the city of Houston (even though we didn’t venture far outside the Museum District).

I have a favorite quote. It’s one that simultaneously inspires me and keeps me in check. The best thing about this quote – I don’t even think it’s a quote.

I love looking back at the year and taking one more opportunity to show off the amazing weddings I was blessed to capture and the couple I was lucky enough to get to know.

Twenty-three months ago Blake asked a question that not only changed both of our lives, but has also ruled both of lives since then.
